Change your Apple Account country or region
Before updating your location, make sure to use any remaining balance and cancel your active subscriptions.
What to do before changing your country or region:
- Use up any remaining balance on your Apple Account. If you’re unsure, check your account balance first.
- Cancel any subscriptions that may prevent the region change and wait until they expire.
- Allow any memberships, pre-orders, rentals, or Season Passes to finish, and wait for pending refunds to be processed. You can also cancel pre-orders if needed.
- You may need to add a valid payment method for your new region, so check which payment options are supported.
- Redownload your apps, music, movies, TV shows, and books on your devices, as some content may not be available in the new region. Check what content and services are supported there.
- Once you update your billing address and payment method, you’ll be able to upgrade your iCloud+ plan based on the pricing in your new country or region.
Use your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Vision Pro to change your region
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap your name, then select Media & Purchases.
- Tap View Account (you may be asked to sign in).
- Select Country/Region.

- Choose your new country or region.
- Tap Change Country or Region.
- Select your new location, then review the Terms & Conditions.
- Tap Agree in the top-right corner, then tap Agree again to confirm.
- Pick a payment method and enter your updated payment details along with your billing address, then tap Next. You may be required to provide a valid payment method for the new region.
Use your Mac or Windows PC to change your region
- Open the Apple Music or Apple TV app.
- On a Mac, go to the menu bar, click Account, then select Account Settings. On a Windows PC, click your name at the bottom of the sidebar, then choose View My Account.
- You may be asked to sign in to your Apple Account.
- On the Account Information page, click Change Country or Region.

- Choose your new country or region.
- Review the Terms & Conditions, then click Agree, and confirm by clicking Agree again.
- Enter your new payment details* and billing address, then click Continue.

Sign in to account.apple.com.
Click Personal Information.
Select Country/Region.
Follow the on-screen steps. You may need to provide a valid payment method for your new country or region.
